North Bay Indigenous Hub RPN wins prestigious Ontario award – North Bay Nugget

Sarah Goodreau, an RPN at the North Bay Indigenous Hub is getting a major award on Friday. It is called the ‘Nursing Now Ontario Award’.

Sarah Goodreau, the health promotion nurse at the Giiwedno Mskikikiiwgamig-North Bay Indigenous Hub has won this year’s Nursing Now Ontario Award in the registered practical nurse (RPN) category.

She reflected on the work she does and how gratifying it is to her.

“I just help people. That’s what I do.  It really comes down to just wanting to help people who need help and cannot get or access the help. I just want to hop in my car and take someone to an appointment if they cannot get there. It is important to me that everyone has health equity,” says Goodreau.
