The Social Services Department is collecting gently used or new winter clothing and accessories for individuals of all ages in need.

Accepted Items:

Winter Coats
Snowsuits
Snowpants
Boots
Socks
Gloves/Mittens
Hats
Scarves
Warm Sweaters / Hoodies
Base layer shirts/pants

Drop off Locations:

NFN Food Bank – 19 Phillip Avenue, Garden Village
Lawrence Commanda Health Centre – 58 Semo Rd., Garden Village
NFN Social Services Reception Desk – 36 Semo Rd., Garden Village
Nbisiing Secondary School – 469 Couchie Memorial Dr., North Bay
Young Forestry – 3 Maang Miikan, North Bay – Please check their hours of operations.
Grandpas Cabin and Convenience – 10 Giizhik Miikan, Garden Village – Please check their hours of operations.

Hours of Operation:

The NFN Food Bank, Lawrence Commanda Health Centre, NFN Social Services Reception Desk and Nbisiing Secondary School are open Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – Noon (closed for lunch from Noon – 1 p.m.) and re-open at 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Please note that NFN Offices/Buildings will be closed and/or operating at a limited capacity during the holidays. They will be closed from Friday December 19, 2025 – Friday, January 2, 2026, and will re-open on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 8:30 a.m.

Drop Off Dates:

Donations will be accepted from Thursday, December 11, 2025, until Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

Donation Guidelines:

Please ensure that all items are clean and in good condition (no rips, missing buttons, or broken zippers.)

We are NOT accepting toys, electronics, appliances or furniture.
