Nearly $1 million announced for prevention programs in Sheshatshiu and Natuashish – The Telegram

Funding of $965,000 will be used to support prevention-based programming in the Innu communities of Sheshatshiu and Natuashish, the province and the federal government announced today.
The funding comes from the federal First Nations Child and Family Services Program, Premier Dwight Ball and Labrador MP Yvonne Jones said in a news release.
Through the Innu Round Table — comprised of the Mushuau Innu First Nation, Sheshatshiu Innu First Nation and the Innu Nation — the federal and provincial governments will continue discussions on how to best implement programming.
