N.L. reports 4 new deaths due to COVID-19 in monthly update – CBC

364 people in the province have died since the beginning of the pandemic

Four more people have died in Newfoundland and Labrador due to COVID-19, according to the Health Department’s latest update.

Two were 80 years old or over, one was in their 70s and one was in their 60s.

The deaths raise the provincial total to 364 since the beginning of the pandemic in March, 2020.

The province also reported 42 hospitalizations in the most recent reporting period — Aug. 27-Sept. 23 — including eight people admitted to critical care.

Another 238 cases of the virus were confirmed over the reporting period.

The next update is expected Oct. 25.
