More Mental Health Support for College and University Students

Ontario Government Moving Forward with Mental Health and Addictions Strategy

Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities

Ontario is strengthening mental health services for postsecondary students across the province as part of its Mental Health and Addictions Strategy.

Ten projects from across Ontario are moving forward in round one of the Mental Health Innovation Fund, including a province-wide, 24-hour-a-day, 365 days a year helpline to provide support for college and university students with mental health concerns. Kids Help Phone is working with postsecondary institutions on the service, which is expected to be in place within the next year.

The new Ontario government is committed to providing the right care, at the right time, in the right place to help young people live healthy, successful lives.
