Moose Cree FN – Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Issued

Press Release

June 18, 2025

In the interest of protecting public health, a precautionary ‘Boil Water Advisory’ is being issued for Centre Road between the intersections of Bay St to Clarke St due to the repairs on Centre Rd which will require isolation of that section of watermain.

The Boil Water advisory will be in effect until sampling indicates that the water is safe to drink (approximately 3-4 days after repairs). Please note that you will be notified when the Boil Water Advisory has been lifted.

A Boil Water Advisory means that people who take their water from the communal system should follow the advice in the fact sheet from the Porcupine Health Unit, called ‘How to use water safely during a “boil water advisory”.
It can be found here:

http://www.porcupinehu.on.ca/en/your-community/safe-water/boil-water-advisories/

If you prefer not to boil your water, an alternate source of drinking water is made available to you at the Water Plant. Please, bring your own clean container.

For more information, contact:
Porcupine Health Unit at 1-800-461-1818

We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.
