In the interest of protecting public health, a precautionary ‘Boil Water Advisory’ is being issued, effective immediately. The ‘Boil Water Advisory’ is being issued due to issues at the plant. We are working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible to restore pressure to the community. Updates will be provided as the situation progresses.
The Boil Water advisory will be in effect until sampling indicates that the water is safe to drink (approximately 3-4 days). Please note, you will be notified when the Boil Water Advisory has been lifted.
A Boil Water Advisory means that people who take their water from the communal system should follow the advice in the fact sheet from the Porcupine Health Unit, called ‘How to use water safely during a “boil water advisory“
