Moose Cree First Nation – Drinking Water Update

OCWA wishes to advise residents that there is a contingency plan to continue to provide safe drinking water.

At this time, the plant is operating normally, and the water plant operators continue to monitor water levels.

IF the water floods the low lift building and the pumps can no longer be used, there is an emergency backup pump, provided by MCFN, that will be used to provide water to the water plant. The emergency backup pump will not likely provide the same amount of water to the water treatment plant and a decrease may be necessary overnight to maintain levels, but this will be assessed at that time. Currently there is no decrease scheduled.

Please note that water quality has NOT been affected.
