Moose Cree First Nation – Boil Water Advisory

Press Release

July 18, 2025

In the interest of protecting public health, a precautionary ‘Boil Water Advisory’ is being issued for Small Street, Visitor Street, Trapper Street and TC Drive. Contractors have broken a line on TC drive which required isolation of that section for repairs.

The Boil Water advisory will be in effect until sampling indicates that the water is safe to drink (approximately 3-4 days after repairs). Please note that you will be notified when the Boil Water Advisory has been lifted.

A Boil Water Advisory means that people who take their water from the communal system should follow the advice in the fact sheet from the Porcupine Health Unit, called ‘How to use water safely during a “boil water advisory”. It can be found here:

www.porcupinehu.on.ca/en/your-community/safe-water/boil-water-advisories/boil-water-advisory-page/

If you prefer not to boil your water, an alternate source of drinking water is made available to you at the Water Plant. Please, bring your own clean container.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
