PRESS RELEASE
Quinte Mohawk School (QMS) is working diligently in a coordinated effort with Health Canada, INAC, and MBQ to ensure a safe and reliable water system for students as quickly as possible. The disinfection system for QMS has been designed, and the necessary equipment has been ordered. Due to circumstances beyond our control, some of the necessary equipment is on backorder from the suppliers. The chemical feed pumps (manufactured in Germany) necessary to build the disinfection system are expected to be delivered to the supplier (Metcon) November 27th. Once the chemical feed pumps have been delivered and the disinfection system assembled by Metcon, it will be shipped immediately to QMS. The installation of the disinfection system relies on the ability of the manufacturers to deliver and develop the system.
A contractor is currently conducting preliminary preparations at QMS for the installation of the disinfection system. Once the system is delivered by the supplier, it will be assembled and tested before the complete system is installed by the plumber.
