Subject:                    Pandemic Plan in containing COVID-19 virus

I am hearing reports of people travelling to and from communities and towns within the MKO territory. We should be mindful that there have been cases of the COVID-19 virus in Flin Flon, Manitoba and in nearby communities in Saskatchewan.

On April 17, 2020, the province had announced a public health order to prohibit non-essential travel north of 53rd parallel. I am reminding everyone that these precautions should be taken seriously if we are to help the efforts in preventing the COVID-19 virus from moving into our communities and territory. We are living in unprecedented times and must take extraordinary measures to protect our citizens.
