Métis Women of British Columbia Add their voices to Women of the Métis Nation to end violence

Abbotsford, B.C. (June 20, 2011) – Métis Women of British Columbia (MWBC) echo the concerns raised by the President of the Women of the Métis Nation toward ending the chronic violence against Aboriginal women. The calls were made following a Collaboration to End Violence: National Aboriginal Women’s Forum in Vancouver on June 15 to 17, 2011. As news about violence against Aboriginal women is becoming more prevalent in mainstream media, there needs to be more done at various levels of government, police and in the media to help deal with the continuing struggles.Representing the MWBC at the Forum were:
