Swan Valley Lodge is located in the heart of the Rockies Region in Southeast BC and is nestled between the Purcell and Selkirk Mountains. This is a 90-bed facility equipped with services and staff devoted to a warm and comfortable living environment.

The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse provides: nursing care to psychiatric patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team; enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers; demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice; maintains and advances own clinical competence; participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.

This is a Relief Part Time position until March 31, 2022.
Shifts are rotating: 07:30 to 15:12, 07:30 to 15:30, and 15:00 to 23:00 with on-call from 2300 – 0700 when working 15:00-23:00.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Post – basic education in gerontology an asset.
