Media Advisory – North East LHIN Holds Open House to Seek Input into Setting Health Care Priorities for North East Ontario

For immediate release – Thursday, June 4, 2009 — The North East LHIN is holding an open house in New Liskeard to seek community input into a three-year strategic plan. The plan, called the Integrated Health Service Plan (IHSP) will outline North East Ontario’s health care priorities from 2010 to 2013. As part of Engage 2009, announced in April, the North East LHIN is interested in hearing what people have to say from all corners of the region.Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Everyone is welcomed to attend. For those individuals who would like to take part in a group discussion on health care priorities in the North East, focus groups will be held at 3:00 PM and again at 5:30 PM. Light refreshments and health snacks will be available.

Engage 2009 will be active until September 30, 2009. Individuals who wish to submit their thoughts and are unable to participate in an open house, can do so by visiting the online forum at www.nelhin.on.ca/engage2009.
