Media Advisory – New university health professions program for Indigenous youth

The Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) and Queen’s University are partnering on the creation of a groundbreaking, new health professions program in the Western James Bay region with support from Mastercard Foundation.

What: Media are invited to a virtual press conference from Moosonee, Ontario announcing a transformative training model situated within Indigenous communities that will create education and employment opportunities for Indigenous youth, and improve community care.

When: Tuesday, Feb. 28, 11 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
