Media Advisory – Event Reminder: Conference on Collaborative Services to Children, Youth and Families

TORONTO, May 29 – Children’s Mental Health Ontario and the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies will gather together over 100 speakers to present innovative programs, new research and outcome studies in child welfare and children’s mental health at the 2008 Joint Conference on June 2-4. Presenters will highlight how working together in successful partnerships results in improved outcomes for children and youth at “Shoulder to Shoulder: Strengthening Partnerships for Positive Outcomes” at the Doubletree by Hilton in Toronto.

The organizers have invited child welfare and children’s mental health professionals, researchers and practitioners to discuss issues, research and programs for children, youth and their families. Some of the workshop and seminar topics focus on research, social policy, collaborative programs, youth engagement, clinical intervention and diversity in child welfare and children’s mental health.
