Media advisory: CIHR’s Dr. Carrie Bourassa to announce steps in supporting research towards reconciliation with Canada’s Indigenous Peoples

Winnipeg, Manitoba – March 23, 2018 – Dr. Carrie Bourassa, Scientific Director of the CIHR Institute of Aboriginal People’s Health, will visit the University of Manitoba to announce steps being taken by CIHR to support research that seeks to improve the lives of Indigenous Peoples. She will be joined by Drs. Marcia Anderson and Digvir S. Jayas, Executive Director of Indigenous Academic affairs at the Ongomiizwin Indigenous Institute of Health and Healing, and Vice-President Research at the University of Manitoba, respectively. Elder Mary Wilson will bring prayers and greetings at the announcement.
