Kelowna, BC, May 27, 2011 – BC Government and Service Employees’ Union will be hosting a dialogue on Quality Seniors’ Care in BC in Kelowna on Monday, May 30 at 5 pm.The event features brief panel discussions and structured public engagement exercises intended to promote dialogue and generate constructive ideas to ensure quality care for BC’s seniors.

Invited and confirmed dialogue participants include leaders in the BC’s seniors’ care sector—federal, provincial, and municipal politicians; first nations community and elder care leaders; health authority officials; seniors and health advocacy group representatives; College/University instructors; owners/operators of residential care facilities; and numerous frontline workers in the sector.

BCGEU president Darryl Walker will be in attendance and available to talk to media.
