Mayor Wants Paramedics at Sauble – Bayshore Broadcasting News

Mayor says an ambulance station should be staffed at Sauble in the Summer.

South Bruce Peninsula Mayor Janice Jackson has again called for a summer ambulance station for Sauble Beach.

It’s the second request in three years.

Jackson made the latest request before Bruce County Council EMS committee meeting on August 4th.

She brought it up in light of the drowning July 30th of a Cambridge man on the First Nation side of the beach.

The mayor says she understands it took at least 20-minutes for an ambulance to arrive on the scene
