Winnipeg, MB – Today the Manitoba Métis Heritage Fund (MMHF) and Manitoba Metis Federation (MMF) announced their partnership with St. Boniface Hospital Foundation for its 2019 Gala, Embracing our Beginnings.
“We are pleased to partner with St. Boniface Hospital Foundation in support of their Youth BIOLab program,” said Denise Thomas, Chair, Manitoba Métis Heritage Fund. “With one in five youth in Manitoba identifying as Indigenous, funds raised will support their success in science related courses and help build capacity in health-related professions.”
“The RBC Youth BIOlab Jeunesse provides unique learning opportunities to students around Manitoba,” said Vince Barletta, CEO, St. Boniface Hospital Foundation. “This important support from the Manitoba Metis Federation will provide Métis youth with meaningful connections to science that will engage them in learning more about health research and medicine. St. Boniface Hospital Foundation is grateful to both the Manitoba Métis Heritage Fund and the Manitoba Metis Federation for choosing to partner with us in 2019.”
“Embracing our Beginnings” will take place on Saturday, May 12, 2019 at the Hotel Fort Garry in Winnipeg. All proceeds raised will directly support the RBC Youth BIOlab Jeunesse.
