LMG: Checkpoint Update

On Thursday, May 28, 2020, the Unified Command added additional measures at the checkpoints to protect the health and safety of Listuguj community members and its residents. These measures are necessary to protect against the growing spread of COVID-19 cases across the bridge, resulting from a confirmed travel-related case at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. As of Sunday, May 31, 2020 there are now 12 active cases in the Campbellton Region.

This is a reminder that until Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. the only authorized persons to enter Listuguj are:

– Registered Band Members;

– Listuguj Residents;

– LMG Essential Service Personnel;

– Food Distributors; and

– Emergency Vehicles.

These measures will be reassessed by the Unified Command on Tuesday, June 2, 2020.

**Please note, food distributors delivering essential goods to local convenience stores have been added to the list of authorized personnel. Checkpoint supervisors have contacted store owners to coordinate these deliveries.
