Lhtako Dene Nation community care nurse credits CNC with helping her succeed – Quesnel Observer
Tia Bunnah is a community care nurse for Lhtako Dene Nation and a CNC grad
Tia Bunnah is an Indigenous nursing grad of Dakelh and Anishinaabe ancestry and a member of the Lhtako Dene Nation. She graduated from the College of New Caledonia and University of Northern B.C.’s Northern Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing program and now works as a home and community care nurse for Lhtako Dene Nation.
Bunnah was inspired to go into nursing after experiencing a team of supportive nurses care for her chronically-ill daughter. She said the nurses helped guide her in how to help her child moving forward.
