Issue driven resources for youth

The Healthy Aboriginal Network
Non-profit promotion of health, literacy & wellness

Welcome to our first 2014 update. We’re keeping it short but please let us know if you have any questions.

Custom resources and reprints

It used to be that we only created 40 and 48 page comic books for clients. Now we offer a full suite of services – 16 and 24 page booklets, posters, video, animation and augmented reality (see www.thehealthyaboriginal.net for an example) resources. Everything is focus group tested online and in person with youth, while it’s still in the draft phase, so that revisions are cheap and easy to make. Three of our books have had terrific third party evaluations and we’ve sold over half a million copies on a non-profit basis since 2005 (we’re in our tenth year!). We even special order print runs with custom rear covers, so that our larger clients are able to advertise new services. If this is of any interest to you, please email [email protected] to discuss.

Books, posters and video in inventory / production

We’ve never had this many book titles in stock – twelve! And our United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child posters are still in stock – just $228 for a series of 42 posters. Our first sale is still in effect, until March 31st, on our integrating gang youth back into community comic book. And we have updates coming in February and March on resources we still have in production – our staying in school animated short (Level Up) and violence against women focus group short. Check out the resources we have in stock at www.thehealthyaboriginal.net or send an email with your order and address to [email protected] if you’re interested.
We hope you continue to find us relevant to youth’s needs,
Sean Muir
