IRC: ISR Wellness Tour Begins September 17

Influencers Motivating Influencers founder David DeVos and his team consisting of Magician Brian Glow, Artist Danielle Vachon, and TV Personality Les Johnson begin their lengthy tour of the Inuvialuit Settlement Region when they land in Ulukhaktok on September 17, 2018.

From there, they will continue to Tuktoyaktuk, Inuvik, Sachs Harbour, Paulatuk and Aklavik.

The tour’s programming promotes anti-bullying, suicide prevention, healing, and wellness. It also strives to encourage people to embrace life.

“It is very difficult today, the stigma still exists and we need to try to do whatever we can to remove that stigma so people can live healthier lives,” DeVos said. “Our goal is to have influencers motivate local influencers to create change and bring awareness to the social problems and opportunities so everyone can be successful and live life.”

While they are in the communities they will host a number of events over a number of days. These include:

Anti-bullying magic shows
Therapy and spiritual painting workshops

There will also be a community magic show when the tour stops in Inuvik. This will be held at East Three Elementary School on October 4 at 7:00 p.m. It will be free admission and everyone is welcome!
