Indigenous art unveiled at KHSC and Regional Cancer Program as part of reconciliation efforts – Whig Standard

KHSC President and CEO explains artwork is a visible commitment to reconciliation and creating a more inclusive space for Indigenous patients, families, and staff

On July 8, Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) and the South East Regional Cancer Program (SERCP) unveiled three pieces of Indigenous-commissioned art to be displayed at its facilities.

The installations are part of the Indigenous Spaces and Places in Health Care Initiative, which seeks to build relationships with Indigenous artists, knowledge keepers and elders while incorporating Indigenous perspectives on health and well-being into health-care environments.
