Registration closes on September 17th, 2018. Registration is limited and will be filled on a “first come, first serve” basis. Return leaders will join the sessions at 1 pm on the first day (to avoid workshop duplication) and new leaders will attend both full days.

Workshops will be offered in Holistic Wellness, Harm Reduction, Active Communities, Nutrition, Mental Wellness, and a number of active sessions.  Participants will learn from experts in their respective fields and develop the skills necessary to design and deliver their own healthy living community program.

Once training is complete, participants are eligible for up to $1000 in grant support for their Aboriginal RunWalk or Honour Your Health Challenge community program.

  • Aboriginal RunWalk: an 8 to 21-week program designed to prepare participants for a 5 or 10K community walk run event.
  • Honour Your Health Challenge: a 6-week program that encourages innovation in promoting healthy, active lifestyles. Programs include traditional cooking, jigging, recreational hiking, traditional harvesting and so much more!
