Home Support Worker
Responsibilities
View English and Inuktitut version
- Play a key role in the delivery of the Home Support Services Program to clients within the Home and Community Care Program
- Assist with the development of the client work plan
- Work with the nurse to carry out the required services for each client, which may include activities such as personal care, home management, respite, and palliative care;
- To work independently with minimal supervision;
- Travel as required
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Home Support Worker Training or a willingness to learn Home Support Worker skills with the Home Care Nurse. Combined relevant education and experience will be considered.
- Experience in working with elderly and/or disabled clients
- Good oral and written communication skills
Assets
- Bilingual in Inuktitut and English
- Certificate in CPR and First Aid
