Help SCO Recognize Anishinaabe and Dakota Nurses: Submit by May 7, 2026

National Nursing Week takes place from May 11 to 17, 2026.

The week is an opportunity for the Southern Chiefs’ Organization (SCO) to recognize and acknowledge nurses in Manitoba, who have chosen to care for others through their profession.

During National Nursing Week, there is a special day to recognize Indigenous nurses.

SCO invites you to celebrate Anishinaabe and Dakota nurses by sharing:

• Their photo
• name
• Location/First Nation of where they work
• Information about why you would like to recognize them

If there are nurses who are working in your Nation who may not be Anishinaabe and/or Dakota, please feel free to recognize them as well!
