Health department launches patient experience survey – Cabin Radio

The NWT government has released a questionnaire that it hopes residents will use to share experiences with the healthcare system over the past year.

There are two versions of the 15-minute questionnaire – an inpatient version, for people admitted to a hospital or acute care facility for an overnight stay or longer, and an outpatient version for people whose interactions were limited to things like day surgeries, primary care visits and rehabilitation.

The Department of Health and Social Services said the goal is to understand the quality of care people are receiving and how effectively the healthcare system is meeting people’s needs.
