Due to the nature of this pandemic, it was inevitable that we would eventually see a confirmed case in our community. However, we are fortunate that Listuguj is prepared. Our government will continue to take action and enact additional measures to limit the virus’s potential spread. We want to remind our community members and residents that what we need now more than ever is to practice mindfulness and compassion. The virus is a disease that does not discriminate.
On behalf of the Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government, we wish this community member a swift and full recovery.
At this time of stress, it is important to practice patience and understanding. Our emergency response team and the Unified Command have planned for this eventuality.
Updates will be provided as they become available.
