The Southern Chiefs’ Organization (SCO) invites citizens from SCO member Nations to take part in our contest celebrating Nutrition Month!

Healthy foods give our bodies what they need. Eating well helps keep our bodies strong throughout our lives.

SCO wants to hear your ideas about making healthy choices!

Share your knowledge and ideas about nutrition for a chance to win a $100 gift card for the grocery store of your choice.

Share any of the following with us for your chance to win:

Language teachings: Share Anishinaabe or Dakota words or phrases related to healthy eating, healthy living, or food security.
Traditional teachings: Share tips on healthy living and/or food security.
Art contest: Submit drawings, paintings, or any other kind of art that represents healthy choices for you.
A short story or anecdote: Share a positive memory about food (hunting, gathering, gardening, feasting, cooking, etc.).
Short video (up to 60 seconds): Submit a video sharing tips for making healthy choices.
Menu planning tips: Share your favourite healthy recipes or ideas on how healthy choices can fit in daily life.
Favourite recipes: Share a recipe for a traditional dish.

SCO will select five winners during the first week of April.

Be sure to share your contest entry with us by 11:59 pm Central Time on March 31, 2025, for your chance to win!

Eligibility: Participants must be members of one of SCO’s 32 member Nations. Proof of status will be required from winners. SCO will accept one entry per person.
