Economic Development Fund – Quebec awards $ 100,000 to the Inuit Women’s Association of Nunavik Saturviit

INUKJUAK, QC , March 29, 2018 – The Government of Quebec is pleased to contribute to the Nunavik Inuit Women’s Association’s community soup project Saturviit, in the northern village of Inukjuak , by providing them with assistance. $ 100,000 for the renovation of the building in which their facilities are located and for the acquisition of professional kitchen equipment. This sum comes from the Development Economic Fund (FCD) administered by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Land Occupancy (MAMOT).

Ungava MP and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Forests, Wildlife and Parks, Jean Boucher, made the announcement today on behalf of the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Land Occupancy, Minister of Public Safety and Minister responsible for the Montreal region, Martin Coiteux.

The financial assistance granted will make it possible to renovate the organization’s building and provide it with a security system. The total cost of the project is estimated at more than $ 308,000.
