Dr. Mark Fenton research on lung volumes in First Nations people

June 16, 2014

Dr. Mark Fenton, one of IPHRC’s researchers, has conducted a study and presented the preliminary results at a conference in San Diego in May 2014.

Dr. Fenton’s study was to measure the lung volumes in First Nations people. He partnered with Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre and had tested 218 adults.

He talks about the importance of encouraging First Nations people to participate in lung studies so the results are understood more accurately.
