DOH Congratulates Staff on Achieving First Nations Heslth Managers Association Designation

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Health (DOH) would like to recognize and congratulate four (4) staff members who have completed their designation courses in Health Management for the First Nations Health Managers Association. Staff achieving their designation have been attending classes since 2019 to complete the necessary courses.

The First Nations Health Managers Association (FNHMA) provides leadership in First Nations health management activities by developing and promoting quality standards, practices, research, certification, networking, and professional development to expand the capacity of First Nations communities. FNHMA recognizes that First Nations Health Managers are leaders who honor, maintain, and uphold inherent ways of knowing while balancing management principles to bring excellence to their communities and health programs.

DOH would like to recognize and offer congratulations to the following staff members for achieving designation in Health Management with the First Nations Health Managers Association:

  • Kyle Thompson (Prevention Coordinator, Wholistic Health & Wellness Program)
