The SPOT clinic, which is set to close at the end of March, provides walk-in service for people with addictions and mental-health problems, almost two-thirds of whom are Indigenous.

Physicians being evicted from a community clinic on the Saanich Peninsula are asking health officials for urgent answers about the fate of their more than 500 at-risk patients.

“There is currently no identified organization, program, or care model responsible for continuity of care for this population following the planned Saanich Peninsula Outreach Team closure on March 31, 2026,” said clinic doctors Kate Evans and Michał Pawlik in a letter to health officials.

The Saanich Peninsula Outreach Team or SPOT clinic, open weekdays, serves 543 patients, almost two-thirds of whom are Indigenous.
