CUAI safeTALK Suicide Awareness training

Calgary Urban Aboriginal Initiative (CUAI)and the CUAI Youth committee would like to invite you to safeTALK Suicide Awareness training on March 9, 2015 at the John Dutton Theatre 616 Macleod Trail SE

Suicide Awareness for Everyone

This 3 hour workshop alerts one to warning signs indicating risk of suicide. The workshop emphasizes the importance of recognizing the signs, communicating with the person at risk and getting help or resources for the person at risk.

This workshop is open to parents, caregivers, youth over the age of 16, educators, health practitioners , justice, law enforcement, emergency workers, and community volunteers.

You will receive a certificate for attending. safeTALK is recognized by the Suicide Prevention Resource Centre . Please check with your professional association to see if the course qualifies you to receive professional credits or continuing education credits.

Lunch and registration will be between 12:00pm -12:45pm and the workshop will begin at 1 pm and will be over by 4pm. There are no GF options available for lunch.
