COVID outbreak declared at Muskoday First Nation – paNOW

Due to ongoing community transmission, Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) has officially declared a COVID-19 outbreak at Muskoday First Nation.

As of Monday, there were 14 active cases and three people in hospital.

According to a statement from Indigenous Services Canada, contact tracing is underway. They’ve also explained public health will be contacting anyone who is considered a close contact.

In the meantime band members, living on reserve, are being encouraged to get vaccinated and to stay home if any symptoms develop.
