COVID-19 booster vaccine clinic at Inuksuk High School

Press Release

18 January 2022

Two doses and a booster shot of a Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccine provide better protection against COVID-19 and new variants, such as Omicron.

January 22, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Iqaluit Health Services will be offering the COVID-19 booster vaccine at Inuksuk High School. This is a walk-in clinic for youth ages 12-17 who received their second dose at least 6 months ago.

Please bring your health care card and proof of vaccination certificate or wallet vaccine card indicating you received your second dose. Taxi vouchers will be available, if required.

Physical distancing, hand hygiene and enhanced cleaning practices will be in place to help keep everyone healthy. Masks are mandatory.

The COVID-19 vaccine is the best protection against this virus, and all Nunavummiut are encouraged to be vaccinated as soon as they are eligible. The COVID-19 vaccination is also available by appointment during regular business hours at Iqaluit Public Health.
