BONNYVILLE — Covenant Health welcomed Indigenous community members to an engagement session on Oct. 6, at the Bonnyville Seniors Centre, Pioneer Hall, as part of a province-wide initiative to improve culturally safe healthcare and strengthen relationships with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities.
Adam North Peigan, lead for Indigenous Health Development and Community Engagement, opened the session with a reflection on gratitude and tradition.
“We’re very honoured to be in Bonnyville. And it’s a good day today. The sun is out. We need to be grateful to the Creator that He’s gifted us another day of sunlight today. So we’re really happy to be out here in Bonnyville.”
