Eceptionist, Inc. announced today that is has been selected by Canada Health Infoway (Infoway) as a vendor that meets their investment criteria for telehealth scheduling. The Infoway project developed Pan-Canadian requirements and defined investment criteria in the area of Scheduling for Infoway’s Telehealth strategic investment program.Telehealth is defined as the use of information and communications technology to deliver health services, expertise and information over distance. The Infoway Telehealth strategic investment program strategy focuses on five key dimensions: Geographic, Cultural, Clinical, Management Models as well as Technology and Standards. Through the Telehealth strategic investment program strategy, Infoway invests capital to increase utilization and expansion of telehealth services throughout Canada and in identified areas of need such Aboriginal, official language minority, northern and remote communities.
