Communities Encouraged to Join Communities ChooseWell for Healthy Living

Register by May 15 to be considered for provincial recognition
Edmonton… Alberta communities can show they’re pumped about healthy living by registering in Communities ChooseWell 2008.Now in its third year, Communities ChooseWell is part of the provincial Healthy U initiative that encourages Albertans to lead healthier lives by eating healthy and being physically active.

A record 124 communities participated in the 2007 initiative, with 24 communities being recognized for programs and activities to promote healthy living to their residents.

Communities ChooseWell runs from May 15, 2008 to February 15, 2009. Communities can register to participate by visiting www.healthyalberta.com. The registration deadline is May 15.
