Deloitte is announcing that the Claims Period for the First Nations Child and Family Services Jordan’s Principle Settlement will officially open on March 10th, 2025. This launch specifically applies to the Removed Child Class and Removed Family Child Class.
On this date, eligible Removed Child and Removed Child Family Class Members will be able to submit their Claims to the Administrator (Deloitte).
The Removed Child Class and Removed Child Family Class represent two out of 9 Classes under the Settlement. These classes include:
- Removed Child Class: First Nations individuals who were removed from their homes as Children under the age of majority between April 1, 1991 and March 31, 2022, while living on reserve or in the Yukon and placed into care funded by Indigenous Services Canada (ISC)
