Caribbean-Canada Emerging Leaders Dialogue 2015 (CCELD 2015) Set to Launch in Gatineau, Quebec on September 20

Noted government, private-sector and labour leaders to be in attendance

TORONTO, September 15, 2015 – Robert Taylor, Chairman of the Board of ELD (Emerging Leaders Dialogue Canada – the organizing body behind CCELD) today released the details of the upcoming international event.

“We are pleased to be launching this distinguished tour in Gatineau, Quebec on September 20^th, 2015 with over 80 emerging leaders participating from over 20 countries including Canada.”

“Our President, HRH, The Princess Royal, Princess Anne will be an enthusiastic participant in the 2015 Dialogue and she will be in attendance in Jamaica for the closing events”, he noted.

The Caribbean-Canada Emerging Leaders’ Dialogue 2015 is powered by alumni volunteers and operates under the auspices of ELD Canada Inc., a registered Canadian charitable organization and a Commonwealth Accredited Civil Society Organization (CSO).

ELD Canada develops and executes in-field leadership development programs for emerging leaders. They are the Canadian arm of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences led by the organization’s President, HRH The Princess Royal, Princess Anne.

Objectives of CCELD 2015

• Strengthened leadership capacity enabling more sustainable companies, institutions and communities in Canada and the Caribbean
• Shared insights into governance, innovation, trade and economic development, health, education and social inclusion
• Through an expanded and enduring peer network, the bonds between Canada and the Caribbean are strengthened with economic, social and political benefit to both
• Participants develop peer-to-peer critical leadership competencies, including abilities to collaborate, integrate and think critically
• The Dialogue guarantees a profound personal experience expanding the participants’ knowledge of fundamental global and local issues and give insight into the thinking of top leaders throughout both regions

Led by CCELD 2015, Co Chairs, Bruce Bowen, SVP Caribbean Region, International Banking Scotiabank and Her Excellency, Aloun Ndombet-Assanga, The Jamaican High Commissioner to The UK and Ambassador to Ireland, The Republic of Finland, The Republic of Cyprus and the Kingdoms of Denmark, Norway and Sweden, these dialogues over the course of two weeks will touch on a wide range of conversations including cultural intelligence, ethics and governance and collaborative leadership.
