Call for Nominations: Health Canada First Nations and Inuit Health Branch Award of Excellence in Nursing

The FNIHB Award of Excellence in Nursing celebrates the work of community health nurses who have at least two years of experience and who are employed in transferred and non-transferred communities–nurses who: have excellent practice skills, attitudes and knowledge; show leadership; enhance the image of nursing; are dedicated to learning and professional development; and are committed to improving the quality of health care.

Three awards are presented annually during National Nursing Week: one to a FNIHB nurse; one to a nurse employed by a First Nations community; and one to a nurse working in an Inuit community.

Each winner receives a non-cash award valued at $2,500 for her or his professional development.

For more information about the award or to request a nomination package, please email[email protected] or visit the First Nations & Inuit Health Awards of Excellence in Nursing website.
