Call for Members – Nunavut Medical Registration Committee

The Department of Health is seeking two individuals to serve on the Nunavut Medical Registration Committee.

This committee is mandated by the Medical Profession Act to review and make decisions on applications for licensing and registration of medical professionals under the Medical Profession Act.

The committee is seeking:

• 1 member who is not an employee of the Government of Nunavut and is not a medical practitioner.
• 1 member who is a medical practitioner under the Medical Profession Act or registered under another medical regulatory authority in Canada.

Committee members should have a strong interest in regulatory issues and should be prepared to devote 1-1.5 hours every second week to review applications through a teleconference meeting. Experience in a health-related field would be an asset.
