Call for Members for the Nunavut Medical Registration Committee

The Department of Health is seeking two members for the Medical Registration Committee. This committee is mandated by the Medical Profession Act to review and make decisions on applications for licensing and renewal of medical practitioners under the Medical Profession Act. Under the Act the committee requires:

1) Public Member: Section 5(2) (d) – this person is not a licensed medical practitioner in Canada and is not an employee of the Government of Nunavut.
2) Employee of the Government of Nunavut: Section 5(2) (b).

Applicants should have a strong interest in the regulatory process and issues, and be prepared to devote four hours a month.

Those interested in this opportunity should submit their resume, a letter of interest, and references by July 31, 2019 to Barbara Harvey, Registrar, Department of Health, at [email protected]
