The Manitoba NEAHR presents the 2nd annual First Nations, Metis and Inuit Health Research Symposium, a forum to highlight the health research priorities and activities within Manitoba’s Indigenous communites. The symposium brings together communty and academic researchers, students, Elders, health leaders and policy makers in the Manitoba region who share the common goal of improving the health of First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples.
Theme: The symposium theme is Engaging with First Nations, Metis and Inuit Populations in Health Research: Celebrating How We Make a Difference Together
Call for Abstracts:
Abstracts are invited from academic and community-based researchers, undergraduate, graduate and post-doctoral students, and members of organizations external to the university who are engaged in research or knowledge translation projects on topics relevant to the health of Manitoba’s First Nations, Metis and/or Inuit communities. Topic areas may include (but are not limited to) the areas of public health, chronic disease, mental health and addictions, traditional health and wellness, community based research, research ethics, social determinants of health, interventions, integration of Indigenous knowledge systems, health policy or health systems.
Presentation Options: Submissions may be made for Concurrent Sessions, Poster, Workshops, Panel or Roundtable Sessions.
