Boil Water Advisory for Little Lakes Community

Press Release

Date: February 27,2023

Dear [resident/owner]: Little Lakes Community

Re: Boil Water Advisory – Elevated Turbidity Levels

The Water Treatment Plant Operators have informed us that the turbidity levels of the finished water in the community water supply are above the acceptable level of 1 NTU. They are not in accordance with the latest edition of the Guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality. Until such time as levels drop and two consecutive turbidity samples are within acceptable levels you are advised to obtain an alternate source of clean water.

This Boil Water Advisory is effective immediately and will remain in effect until the results of further water samples indicate that the water is safe to drink.

Should you have any questions on the above, please contact Director of Community Infrastructure, Patrick Stevens or Manager of Public Works, Steve Doucette.

Sincerely,

Chief and Council of Nipissing First Nation
