Toronto, Nov. 19 – Join YWCA Toronto and Raising the Roof and participate in a National Housing Day photo opportunity at the historic site of the Toronto “poor house”. The façade of the Poor House, built in 1848, has recently been restored as the centre-piece of the new YWCA Elm Centre, which will offer 300 new affordable and supportive apartments.
On National Housing Day help raise awareness of the need for new affordable housing, celebrate efforts to find permanent solutions to homelessness and support the work of the YWCA to create affordable homes for women, children and people of aboriginal ancestry in downtown Toronto.Don’t miss being a part of the group photograph to be taken at 12 Noon!
