Quotes
“Meaningful social engagement and positive intergenerational connections are vital to building age-friendly communities and promoting healthy aging and overall well-being of seniors and older adults. Our government remains committed to supporting initiatives that engage older persons and seniors in social activities in their communities and I encourage eligible organizations to apply and help build a more inclusive and age-friendly Newfoundland and Labrador.”
Honourable Paul Pike
Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development
“Having young people join our seniors in their activities has been wonderful. They played bingo, cards, and shared stories about local history and how things were done years ago. Being able to bring several generations together is not only good for our seniors but benefits the whole community.”
